Installation precautions
Read and follow these precautions before installing your computer. Environment and Enclosure Information EU Directives This computer meets the requirements of EU Directives when installed in the EU or EEA region, and has the CE mark. A copy of the declaration of conformity can be used to prove that the following standards shall be adopted for cable types in order to meet the requirements. Note: This equipment is applicable to industrial environment with pollution level of 2, overvoltage application of Class II (as defined in IEC 60664-1), and environment with altitude below 2000 meters (6561 feet) and no derating. According to IEC/CISPR 22, this equipment is considered as Group 1 Class A industrial equipment. Without proper preventive measures, electromagnetic compatibility in other environments may have potential difficulties due to conducted interference and radiated interference. The device is provided as an open device. In order to meet certain regulatory requirements, the computer must be installed in an enclosure that is properly designed for possible environmental conditions and is designed to prevent personal injury due to contact with live parts.
Grounding Guidelines
Tools must be used to access the inside of the enclosure. All 6181X-12 display computers are equipped with a gasket bezel that meets the specified NEMA, UL type, and IEC ratings only when installed in an equally rated panel or enclosure.
