If the machine on the pad control unit is enabled and turned off, the power is on. On a dual channel system with a contactor monitor, if the external safety output fuse is not blown, there may still be a fault outside the control unit. A single fault in any wiring channel will cause the mat control unit to lock the safety output until the fault is corrected and the control unit is reset. Symptoms The machine stops unexpectedly when the sensor pad is not present, but can be restarted after the pad is depressed and reset in manual reset mode. Check all indicators for proper operation. This is a highly unlikely situation and does not require remedial measures. Under abnormal conditions, continuous measures may be required to ensure a smoother power supply to the mat subsystem. Maintenance Isolate the power supply of the machine and the mat subsystem before operating the mat subsystem or the machine control system. Observe electrical safety precautions. User repair is limited to replacing new gasket system components. In case of problems, the unit shall be returned to the supplier. Any repairs to the connecting wires shall be made using the recommended butt splice joints. Tampering parts will void the warranty. If the quality seal on the rail control unit is damaged, the warranty is invalid. Spare Parts Available For special size sensor pads, refer to the model number printed on the label. After replacing any part, the inspection and test shown must be carried out, and special attention must be paid to the replaced parts.
