Vibration: – Regarding routine vibration it is recommended that floor enclosures/cabinets stand on a sound, level surface, and that wall enclosures/cabinets are mounted on sound, vertical walls.WOODWARD 5466-031 Should the AC 800M system be installed in a control room, adjacent to large machinery such as shakers or large presses where frequent major vibration is expected, then shock absorbers or an isolation pad may be required to protect system equipment. Shock absorbers will normally protect the equipment from sustained low-level vibrations that are perceivable, but not unduly excessive. – It is recommended that additional fastening screws be used to prevent vibration-generated noise. – If vibrations or shock are a major factor, further consideration must be given to more extreme measures to reduce the problem. ? Cooling: – Cooling the electronics is achieved by self-convection. The AC 800M units are designed for wall mounting and must be mounted horizontally onto a DIN-rail to avoid generating high temperatures within the units. – ABB cabinets (RM550 or RE820) may be used up to an ambient temperature of 40°C (104°F), with no requirement for additional cooling equipment, such as fans.WOODWARD 5466-031
